Frequently Asked Questions

Can I freeze my account?

Yes. A membership freeze requires a completed and signed “freeze form” and management approval.  All membership freezes are for a minimum of 1 month, a maximum of 4 months, and are only permitted twice.  Frozen accounts are charged $25.00 per month the account is frozen, your account will be automatically unfrozen after your freeze ends, and your membership will revert to the regular monthly billing cycle.  Our freeze allowances are intended for major life events like injuries, pregnancy, and military deployment.  Our freeze allowances are not intended for travel or seasonal breaks from membership

Do I need to be a member to play?

If you plan on playing twice a week or you want to join in on the fun programming, including Round Robins, Leagues, and Socials, you will find tremendous savings by joining as a member.

What if I want to play with a certain group of people?

No problem.  Just put your paddles in a rack together and wait for a court.  It's acceptable for groups with less than 4 that are next in line to bring single players to the front of the line so they can take the court.

How long is a game?

All games are to 11, win by 2.  Once a game is over, all players exit the court and the next group in the paddlerack can take the court.

Do you do rally scoring?

No.  Unless we hear differently from a majority of the membership, we don't expect to do rally scoring.

I don't have a paddle or balls. Help!

You can rent a paddle and buy a ball when you arrive!

Are corporate or group reservations available?

Yes! Click on the Parties & Events tab to learn more!

Do you have food and drinks available?

Yes!  We have a large selection of snacks and drinks.

When does my Founder's discounted membership rate expire?

Members who secured a Founder's discounted membership will always have a monthly rate lower than the standard monthly rate.  As with any business, we anticipate the cost of doing business to go up.  As a result, we will need to increase all membership rates, but the Founder's discounted membership rate will always remain lower than the standard. If you decide to cancel your membership and then rejoin at some point, your discounted membership rate will not be “grandfathered” in, and you will need to rejoin with the regular membership rates.

I'm a beginner and don't know anyone.  How do I join in the fun?

Go to the Play tab and click on Register. Then, you can sort by Beginner and sign up for Beginner specific events! Also consider signing up for a Beginner's Boot Camp. It's a great way to learn the game and meet new people at your level to play with in the future.

How much are open play fees?

There are NO additional open play fees for members.  Non-members pay $16.00 for a Day Pass.

Do I need to join on the website or can I sign up when I arrive to play?

You can join when you arrive to play, or on our website here:https://www.bangersanddinks.com/rates

How long can I play? Will I need to leave after an hour?

No way. Unlimited open play from open to close. No 2 hour maximums here! We only politely ask players to follow the open play rules (see below). Organized play events like Leveled Open Play, Round Robins, and DUPR Games have time limits as shown on the calendar pages of our website.

How does Open Play work?

Open Play etiquette: Play is first come first served, except when players are waiting.  Then, play one game to 11 (win by 2).  Both teams come off court and place paddles in line in the rack.  It's acceptable for groups with less than 4 that are next in line to bring single players to the front of the line so they can take the court.

How will I know if it'll be a long wait to play when I arrive?

Check out our YouTube live stream! You can see in real-time how many courts are busy.

What official rules do you follow?

Bangers and Dinks follows the official rules and regulations established by USA Pickleball.
